SHOP WITH YOUR HEART
This limited-edition scarf was designed by six children who have been treated at a Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
To help support them and millions of other kids in need of lifesaving care and treatment,
Chico's will donate $10 from the sale of each "Miracle Scarf" to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
The Little Dinner Theater Players received an award from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
in Lynchburg marking ten years of performances to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!
We welcome Teva Pharmaceuticals to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals family! Teva has selected us as one of three causes to support in our area for the next two years. They are making a grant of $10,000 per year for the new neonatal/pediatric ambulance and employees can volunteer for events and fundraisers. We are fortunate and grateful to have their support!
CMN Hospitals Partner Sets World Record
Sunday, November 13
E. Stuart James Grant Center, Dimon Drive, North Campus, Averett University, Danville, VA
Walmart, a key fundraising partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, created a collage of 24,379 square feet of 8” by 10” photos to break the existing record of a 22,600 square foot photo collage. The new record translates to approximately 45,000 photos. A Guinness official was present to verify the record. A hundred Walmart associates were on hand to create the massive collage, assisted by the Averett University baseball team.
Customers made donations to sponsor photos for the collage at ten Walmart stores…Altavista, Appomattox, Blackstone, Danville, Emporia, Farmville, Franklin, South Boston, South Hill, & Suffolk. The stores raised $106,000 in support of the photo collage.
The most important thing about the collage is that proceeds remain locally to go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the area in which they were raised. For the collage this would include Centra Lynchburg General and Virginia Baptist Hospitals, Children’s Hospitals of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Children’s Hospital in Richmond, and Duke Children’s Hospital. CMN Hospitals use funds to provide medical equipment, facilities, emergency transportation and patient services to treat babies and children in their local communities.
We have started our campaign to raise funds to replace the older neonatal/pediatric ambulance we provided six years ago. Lydia Horne from Clarksville was born prematurely and had to be treated by the neonatal ambulance transport team, then taken to the Virginia Baptist Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. If you would like to donate toward the new ambulance, please click on the donate button below.
